Didn’t advise they were out of stock of brand of meatballs, didn’t offer a sub, sent the sauce and lingonberry to go with the meatballs but no meatballs. I would have cancelled my order if given the option. Not happy with this company

Where’s the food I ordered and paid…
Where’s the food I ordered and paid for?
Made an order on the 24th of April. Dispatched on the 27th from store. Sitting in a warehouse still on the 30th. No deliveries for two more days because of bank holiday weekend... there are perishable goods in those bags. Can they guarantee the warehouse is ‘chilled’? I’ve sent email - no reply.
I live in london. Could have gone to store and pick it up. There’s no reason a delivery service should be 5+ days to do it.

I have been very impressed with the customer service. I asked a question and it was answered within 24 hours. I suggested a product and they are now looking into getting it. I then wanted to add something to my order and they told me how. VERY GOOD - well done. Keep up the good work.

Poor delivery
I placed an order for no rush 3-5 day delivery.
the money was taken on the 14th
I rang on the 25th to find out where the order was and was told that it would be a few days more but I could have it next day If I paid for next day delivery.
this is a disgrace.
Denmark has been a large part of my life and the opportunity to have Danish produce is i portant to me.
this is the second delivery that has missed a family get together where we had planned to eat Danish style
Also you need a system to reserve product for people who have gone onto a waitlist

Just ordered from Scandikitchen for the first time and will definitely be ordering again. Quick and trouble free ordering and delivery, cakes were well packed and arrived in excellent condition.

Needs to take responsibility for delivery service
I have used Scandi for many years and whilst the service has always been good, delivery has always remained an issue. I live in the northeast of Scotland (12 miles from a major city) and despite spending more than double the minimum order value for free delivery I am typically spending in excess of £12 for 48 hour delivery. I could live with this if the delivery company was reliable, but on more than one occasion I have had to travel to their depot to pick up my delivery that has been ‘left off the van’ etc! Scandi now want to put all responsibility for the incompetence of their delivery agents on to me as per the following mail (and please note that mainland Scotland is not mentioned):
Hello there
Thank you for your order.
Shipping goods to certain outer areas of the UK and to the EU requires a few extra steps in the process, so please do respond to this email in order for us to proceed.
Please note if you do not respond to this email within 24 hours, your order will be cancelled from our system and you will need to place a new order.
We do not ship frozen or chilled items to outer postcodes such as Channel Islands, Isle of Man etc and to EU countries. This is because we cannot guarantee the shipping time and cooling elements will not remain cold for the entire journey.
We also do not ship the following to the EU:
- Alcohol
- Items with glass packaging
You may still request we proceed with your order in some circumstances. In this case, we accept no responsibility for any chilled/fragile goods delayed or stopped in transit (including custom delays), cooling elements failing, breakages or other forms of deterioration of the goods (this list is not exhaustive). For more information on our shipping terms and conditions please see our website. We will not re-ship or refund those orders if any issues happen along the way.
Please let us know if you still want the order to be shipped regardless, by replying to this email with the words: " I agree to accepting all responsibility of this shipment and that ScandiKitchen is not responsible for the goods and package once it is handed to the courier. I understand no refunds or reshipment will be made in case of issues".
We can of course also simply remove the chilled/frozen goods from your order before shipping.

This really is unacceptable and companies need to take responsibility for the service of their delivery agents as per the company I have just found and had a successful delivery of the same items provided by Scandi.

I love this company and always order from them for Christmas and special events. There are lots of old favourites and also new things to try. Sometimes I just peruse the website and do a fantasy shop. This order was quite heavy but the packaging was up to the job and delivery was reasonably fast.

The charming staff really helped me with advice along with time chose my wonderful plant holders.

Goods not delivered after 16 days
I have to give a very low rating as goods ordered on 28 April have still not arrived to me. It seems there has been a "Comedy of Errors" both with the courier company (APC) and the support at ScandiKitchen which has resulted in my order still not being with me now on 15 May - despite emails, telephone calls and arrangements made with both the courier company and ScandiKitchen. Really unsatisfying first experience.

I have ordered from this company numerous times. They even put a personalised postcard in with order and the name of whoever packed it. I have ordered from the website and from Amazon as well. Howewver last two orders I haven't received. I ordered on Amazon and went passed the delivery window by some time. I emailed and the response I got was very poor. They told me to wait another two weeks. They blamed Royal Mail and told me to go and ask my neighbour's if they had the parcel! No apology no resolution. I had to make a claim to get refunded. Stupid I ordered again. I would have bought from their site but their site didn't have the chocolate I wanted. Again the items haven't arrived and they gave similar reply. I emailed again no response. I get the impression they are marking items as dispatched to get paid by Amazon then not sending the order. Reason being was I asked when they sent it and they just replied on XXXX day which means they didn't know when they sent it. They really don't care.

A lifeline for people missing Scandi food!
They have an excellent range of Scandinavian snacks and sweets. The orders are packed and dispatched promptly, usually with a handwritten card (a nice personal touch!), and the delivery costs are very reasonable. I’ve ordered several times over the past year and have been very happy with the service.
